Our curriculum is driven by owner Gizell Ancheta, a nationally recognized stylist with over 20 years of experience. She is a national educator for Duomo Professional Color and Hattori Hanzo Shears. She is using content from her own experience as well as from top industry educators such as Cole Thompson and Elevation H+, Paul Mitchell, and Vidal Sassoon.

Most hair schools only teach the minimum technique for getting licensed, but Gizell and her team will teach students to excel in a high end salon and start earning a high income right out of school.

Core Curriculum
​Our curriculum introduces students to the fundamentals of Hairstyling. Students will focus on shampooing, conditioning, hairstyling, haircutting, hair coloring, braiding, and State Board Preparation. Students will also learn the basics of shop management, ethics, interpersonal skills, disinfection, sanitation, and safe work practices.

The course is divided into pre-clinical classroom instruction and clinical service learning experiences.

In addition to the state requirements, HAIR METHOD ACADEMY provides training in the areas of communication skills, professional ethics, salesmanship, decorum, record keeping, and client service record cards. Throughout our curriculum we will implement the practices of the world-renowned founder of Elevation H+, Cole Thompson. His specialties and techniques can be divided into four sections.
Technique
The technique used directly determines the visual outcome. The focus will be on Edge, Volume, and Separation techniques. By using any of these three techniques, either alone or in combination with each other, you can achieve any haircut. ​
Sectioning
Sectioning controls elevation and is determined by which technique and shape will be used. There are three main sectioning patterns: Horizontal, Diagonal, and Vertical Sectioning​
Shape
Shape can be implemented and applied through the different techniques learned to compliment your clients’ features and to leave them confident and happy. They can be categorized by Round, Square, and Triangle shapes.​
Color
From everyday commercial to super-edgy looks, it is our mission to teach you the techniques necessary to create any hair color to the highest degree of technical perfection using Formulation, Consultation, Application, and Technique​
Tuition & Financial Aid Opportunities
We understand the cost of tuition can be a challenge for many students, and we’re here to help. We’ve started a scholarship fund to provide tuition to two students per year, and we can connect others with resources for other scholarships and financial aid. At the moment, we do not accept FAFSA, but recommend looking into private lending to help with your financial needs. Contact us to learn more.
